Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works such as roads, bridges, canals, dams, airports, sewerage systems, pipelines, and railways.
The Department of Civil Engineering, which was established within the Bartın University Faculty of Engineering, started its undergraduate education in normal and secondary education programs by taking its first students in 2010-2011 academic year.Our department aims to be a unit that teaches how to think, supports the development of science and technology, can closely monitor developments in technology and raises individuals who contribute to the future.
Our aim is to educate Civil Engineers who have these values.

Faculty of Civil Engineering has 1 Prof. Dr., 1 Assoc. Prof. Dr., 6 Asst. Prof. Dr. and 5 R. A. There are five following divisions in our department and our work continues to increase the laboratory facilities of each division.
